20 Apr Snow Queen | Portland, OR Fine Art Photographer
This shoot has been something I had been envisioning for a long time, and I’m so thrilled with the results. The snow and twigs behind the model were all added after the shoot, which is not something I normally do, but I have to admit, using Photoshop for purposes other than retouching was a lot of fun.
The look I was going for in this shoot was a desaturated and pale aesthetic, reminiscent of a monochromatic winter scene. The crown was handmade by yours truly, with twigs gathered from a hike up in Forest Park. The whole thing was shot in a studio set-up with lighting arranged for a dramatic feel, which was further enhanced in digital post-production.
